KUCHING: The collaboration between the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) and the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) is vital in ensuring the public is well-informed about various development plans and initiatives under SADA.

SADA Chairman, Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, emphasised the importance of this partnership and expressed hope that it would be sustained moving forward.

She said that UKAS, as a state government-owned media agency, could help in popularising programmes held in Sri Aman such as the Pesta Benak to gain wider coverage.

She said this when met after attending an interview programme ‘Juh Randau’ organised by UKAS, titled ‘Exploring the Role of SADA in Transforming the Development of Sri Aman’ at the Baitulmakmur Building on Tuesday.

Also participating in the interview session was the Acting Resident of Sri Aman Division, Mahra Salleh.

According to Datuk Seri Rohani, this session will indirectly help promote SADA’s name and role to the community, agencies within and outside Sarawak.

She also expressed her gratitude to UKAS Director, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan for inviting SADA for the interview session.

During the interview session, Mahra, who is also a member of the SADA Steering Committee, emphasised that the committee will continue to actively support development in Sri Aman, especially under the supervision of SADA for the rapid development progress in the division.

He said that the development planning in Sri Aman is guided by the Sri Aman Masterplan 2020-2030 and SADA Development Plan 2021-2030 in addition to supporting the aspirations of the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
