SUBIS: The RM9.89 million full replacement project for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Selanyau, Subis, which has been categorised as a sick project, is being given serious attention to ensure its completion for the benefit of the school community.
The matter was among the key issues highlighted during a working visit by Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn to the school recently.
The project involves the construction of classrooms, an administration building, laboratories, teachers’ quarters and other facilities to provide pupils and the school community with a more comfortable and conducive learning environment.
The project site was handed over in May 2021 and was originally scheduled for completion in July 2022.
However, the project experienced delays before being categorised as a sick project.
During the visit, Sagah stressed that all parties involved must take responsibility for their respective roles and ensure the construction works are completed promptly within the stipulated timeframe.
He also emphasised that the facilities and equipment provided should be suited to the school’s needs to ensure they can be fully utilised by pupils and the wider school community.
