KUCHING: Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd’s (SAINS) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Busiai Seman, has received the 2026 World Innovation Leadership Award.
The award recognised Busiai’s leadership, business achievements, and contributions to innovation and the community.
He received the award during the inaugural World Business Chamber Dinner held in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (July 30).
The award was presented by Melaka Governor, Tun Seri Setia Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam.
“The recognition was given for Busiai’s role in supporting Sarawak’s digital transformation efforts through technology initiatives,” SAINS said in a statement today.
The statement added that under Busiai’s leadership, SAINS has focused on areas including digital government services, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI) and sovereign digital capabilities.
It added that the recognition also reflected the efforts of the SAINS team in advancing digital initiatives.
The World Business Chamber is a global platform that connects business leaders and entrepreneurs to promote collaboration, innovation, and economic development.
