KOTA SAMARAHAN: Rapid development here, including road upgrades and modern transport projects, requires patience and cooperation from the community, as the area transforms into a well-planned, modern city.
Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan MP, Datuk Rubiah Wang, said the development projects inevitably bring temporary challenges for residents, particularly in terms of traffic congestion.
However, she stressed they are important steps to ensure the area continues to grow into a more planned and modern city.
“The changes in Samarahan’s development require a small sacrifice from the community, especially with temporary traffic congestion.
“But all of this is to ensure the area evolves into a well-planned, modern city that benefits local residents,” she said.
She said this during a free distribution of ‘bubur lambuk’ and dates at the Uptown Desa Ilmu Ramadan Bazaar, organised by the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) on Friday.
On the programme itself, she said that programmes like this not only provide iftar meals for the community, but also foster a spirit of togetherness and cooperation.
“Initiatives like these reflect the patience, reflection and sharing encouraged during Ramadan,” she added.
Rubiah also praised MPKS for bringing the community together and fostering unity through the initiative.
