KUCHING: Head coach Ideris Untong has urged Samarahan FA to improve their organisation and finishing as they prepare for the decisive second leg of their Sarawak Premier League semi-final this Saturday (Jan 31).

The first-leg clash between neighbours Samarahan FA and Serian FA lived up to expectations, ending in a tense draw at Stadium Samarahan on Jan 24.

Ideris acknowledged that his side created chances but failed to capitalise on them, suggesting that some players were overly eager to score instead of remaining composed in the final third.

“We will make changes in terms of our structure and attacking play. We had our chances but did not use them properly. Maybe the players were a bit too eager to score. Alhamdulillah, there were no injuries,” he told Sarawak Tribune.

He added that the fair contest also ended without any suspensions, allowing his squad to head into the return leg at full strength.

The second leg is scheduled for a 3.00 pm kickoff at Sarawak Stadium, where both teams will be aiming to secure a place in the Sarawak Premier League final.
