KUCHING: The Sarawak Government will soon launch the SAMUDAH Management System to streamline communication and resolve issues between businesses, government departments and authorities.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the system would provide a coordinated digital platform aimed at improving service delivery, accountability and transparency.
He said SAMUDAH would facilitate communication between the business community and government agencies while providing a more structured mechanism for resolving issues.
“Besides accountable and effective service delivery, as well as transparent communication through a coordinated digital platform, the SAMUDAH Management System is also meant to assist policymakers identify, understand and address systems and processes with clearly recorded data and information,” he said.
His speech was read by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian at the opening ceremony of the SHEDA Property Expo 2026 at voco Kuching here today.
Abang Johari said the initiative forms part of the state government’s efforts to streamline its machinery as Sarawak moves into the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
He said the government is adopting a unified approach under the Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM) system to manage the performance and delivery of initiatives under the 13MP.
Among the commitments to be managed under this approach is the state government’s target of building 20,000 affordable homes.
The SAMUDAH Management System, meanwhile, is expected to complement this approach by improving engagement between the private sector and government agencies.
Through systematically recorded data and information, the platform is also intended to give policymakers clearer insights into issues affecting existing systems and processes, enabling them to identify areas requiring attention and improvement.
