KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) Sape Ambassadors showcased their signature “Rhythm of Unity” performance during the Pesta Buku 2025 held here today.
Organised by Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, the Pesta Buku served as a platform to promote reading culture and intellectual engagement among the community.
On the invitation of the organiser, the YPS Sape Ambassadors presented their signature Rhythm of Unity performance, an initiative that aims to further promote unity in diversity through the shared language of music and culture.
“The invitation and positive reception from the organisers reflect the growing public acceptance of Rhythm of Unity as a meaningful expression of Sarawak’s multicultural spirit,” said YPS in a press statement today.
YPS said this as one of the memorable showcases of the year.
“The performance drew overwhelming applause from the audience and visitors at the Pesta Buku who were captivated by the harmonious blend of traditional instruments, vocals, and cultural presentation.
“The performance received commendations from Pustaka Negeri Sarawak representatives Nur Faziella Syazmeen Hasli, Librarian and Head of Information Services Division at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu,”it said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Services) of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak,Salina Zawawi stated that when multiple races perform together on the same stage, it illustrates how differences can blend into a harmonious rhythm.
“When audiences cheer for every culture presented, it shows acceptance, solidarity, and the beauty of unity in diversity,” she added.
