KABONG: An elderly fisherman and his son have been reported missing after heading out to sea off Kabong waters on Wednesday.
The victims, identified as Tuah Bujang, 57, and Aiman Tuah, 24, were believed to have gone out fishing at around 2:00 pm.
It was later reported that heavy rain and rough seas occurred at 5:00 pm and both victims could not be contacted by their family.
Concerned for their safety, Tuah’s elder brother filed a police report at Kabong Police Station at 6:49 am this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Saratok station were dispatched to the scene to initiate the search and rescue (SAR) operations.
Also assisting in the search are the police, Kabong auxiliary firefighters, and the Civil Defence Force (APM).
At the time of writing, both Tuah and Aiman have yet to be found.
