SARAWAK has allocated RM28 million next year to support the continued implementation and expansion of S Pay Global as the state’s flagship digital payment and financial inclusion platform.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the state’s digital journey had made strong progress, with S Pay Global becoming a trusted platform for both users and merchants.

“The Government-owned S Pay Global platform has grown into a trusted digital payment ecosystem, now serving 1.6 million users, 95,000 merchants, and facilitating over RM5.5 billion in transactions since its launch,” he said when tabling the 2026 Sarawak Budget here today.
The platform has been used to distribute initiatives such as SKAS, free laptop assistance and the Free Book Voucher programme to recipients not only in Sarawak, but also in Peninsular Malaysia and abroad.
Each transaction is linked to SarawakID, ensuring proper verification and safeguarding public funds.
Abang Johari said integration with DuitNow and UnionPay had expanded the platform’s reach across Malaysia and internationally.
He said S Pay Global would continue evolving into a comprehensive digital banking platform focused on serving Anak Sarawak, enabling them to save, transact and invest seamlessly.
