KUCHING: The Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) remains fully committed to ensuring that every state government policy, plan and initiative is translated into tangible outcomes that can be experienced by the people.
State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, said the success of SCS depends on strong teamwork and a spirit of togetherness among civil servants to ensure effective and high-impact service delivery.
“All members of the civil service must move forward as a cohesive team to safeguard and advance Sarawak’s interests.
“The spirit of Aidilfitri should serve as a catalyst for the Sarawak Civil Service to move with greater focus and effectiveness in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to us,” he said in a special address in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 celebration.
He also reminded that in an ever-changing world, civil servants must not be complacent with existing achievements, but instead continue to enhance their capabilities, improve work processes and be bold in embracing change.
He stressed that this is the right time for the entire civil service machinery to move forward with renewed energy, greater agility and a results-oriented approach.
“Let us make this Syawal a time for reflection, to renew our resolve, and to move forward with the spirit of ‘revisit, rethink and recharge’,” he added.
On the same note, he encouraged members of the SCS to take the opportunity during the festive holidays to strengthen family ties and social bonds by visiting relatives and friends.
He also advised the public travelling back to their hometowns to remain cautious on the roads and to drive safely for the safety of everyone.
