KUCHING: The Sarawak Football Association (FAS) has postponed all Week Four matches scheduled for Sept 5 due to the prevailing haze situation in the State.
In a statement posted on its social media platform recently, FAS said the fixtures would be rescheduled to a later date to be announced in due course.
“The matches for Week Four scheduled for Sept 5 will be postponed until a date to be determined and announced in due course,” it said.
FAS, however, confirmed that matches scheduled for next week would proceed as planned.
The association said it hoped the haze situation in Sarawak would improve in the near future.
“The Sarawak Football Association apologises for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all parties regarding this matter,” it said.
It also urged all parties to take necessary precautions and prioritise their health amid the haze situation.
