KUCHING: Sarawak will field 12 riders, including 2024 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) silver medallist Aimy Nazurah Rais, to the 2025 Malaysian National BMX Championships at Arena BMX Nasional, Nilai, from July 5–6.
Organised by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF), the prestigious meet —sanctioned under the UCI-CN national category — will gather the country’s top talents battling for national glory and jerseys.
Also representing Sarawak are Danial Rayyan Abdullah Zaiwisman and Muhammad Luthfil Hasief Freddie in the Men Youth (15) category, along with rising stars such as Nur Aleeya Qalesya Zickry Azizan in the Girls (9–10) division.
“Our mission is clear — we want to win championships and bring home national jerseys in each of our categories,” the Sarawak Cycling Association (SCA) told Sarawak Tribune.
The state contingent is led by manager Zahirunisa Abd Rahim and assistant coach Sia Pin Pheng. The coaching line-up is headed by Mohamad Aim Mohamad Fauzi, with Ariana Nurminda Arifin and Siti Harleny Abdul Hadi assisting.
Sarawak aims to build on recent successes, having bagged three national titles — Men Elite (2022), Women Under-11 (2024), and Women Under-15 (2024).
