KUCHING: Insights Analytics Bhd has recorded a strong start to its financial year with a net profit of RM9.28 million on revenue of RM28.7 million for the first quarter ended July 31, 2025 (1Q2025).
The company, which is slated for listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on October 27, reported earnings per share of 11.7 sen. In its filing, the group said revenue during the quarter was mainly driven by its water technology solutions segment, which contributed RM17.32 million, and its intelligent asset management solutions segment, which brought in RM11.38 million.
The group expressed optimism over its outlook for the current financial year, supported by its established presence in the water technology sector and growing traction in intelligent asset management solutions.
“The intelligent asset management solutions, powered by Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and cloud computing, enable real-time tracking, predictive maintenance, automated reporting, and proactive alerts to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across industries,” it said.
“With a strong portfolio of proprietary systems and longstanding relationships with key water agencies in Sarawak, the group is well-positioned to secure new projects and maintain its leadership in the region.”
Moving forward, Insights Analytics will focus on four key strategies: enhancing in-house IT capabilities to support research and development (R&D) and system upgrades; strengthening its market presence in West Malaysia; securing more government-related water projects; and exploring strategic investments and acquisitions to expand its technical capabilities.
Through its upcoming initial public offering (IPO), the company aims to raise RM43.56 million via the issuance of 121 million shares at RM0.36 each.
Of this amount, RM21.18 million will be allocated for working capital, RM9 million for strategic investments, mergers, and acquisitions, RM4.4 million for the expansion of its Sarawak corporate office with a mini data centre, RM1.86 million for IT operations, and RM1.21 million for the expansion of its West Malaysia branch.
Another RM4.9 million has been earmarked for listing expenses. On October 22, Insights Analytics signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sarawak Artificial Intelligence Centre Sdn Bhd (SAIC), a wholly-owned entity of the Sarawak government, to collaborate on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin (AI Twin) initiatives.
Under the partnership, both parties will jointly develop and deploy AI platforms, digital twin technologies, and advanced analytics solutions.
They will also apply these technologies to mission-critical sectors such as energy and utilities, water, construction, transportation, and agriculture, in addition to establishing pilot projects, demonstration sites, and training programmes to promote Sarawak’s sovereign AI and digital economy growth.
