PARIS: Sarawak is drawing international attention at the Revelations Biennale Paris 2025 with its Sarawak Crafts Revealed exhibition, showcasing the rich traditions and skills of its Indigenous artisans at the Grand Palais Éphémère from May 21 to 25.

Led by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, the exhibition marks a key milestone in promoting the state’s creative industry on the global stage.
It’s Deputy Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan’s attendance and meeting with World Crafts Council president Bárbara Velasco highlight Sarawak’s commitment to cultural exchange, sustainable craft development, and international collaboration through heritage-based art.
The Sarawak Crafts Revealed exhibition displays traditional crafts such as beadwork, weaving, and wood carving, celebrating the rich cultures of Sarawak’s Indigenous communities who preserve these skills and support their local livelihoods.
By participating in this international event, Sarawak honours its cultural custodians and amplifies their voices on a global platform.
The initiative also serves to inspire the younger generation to continue these meaningful traditions.
The exhibition supports Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, which identifies the creative industry as a key economic driver.
By connecting local craftspeople to international markets, the state is opening new economic and cultural pathways for its communities.
