KUCHING: The 2025 state-level Launching Ceremony of the National Month and Fly the ‘Jalur Gemilang’ Campaign will be held this Saturday (August 2), at the Satok Sports Complex @ SLPAS Field here.
Themed ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’ (Malaysia MADANI: A Nation that Cares for its People), this year’s campaign continues to emphasise community-based activities in conjunction with 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM).
According to the statement issued by Sarawak Information Department (JaPEN) today, the event will be officiated by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information, and Sarawak Public Communication Unit), Datuk Abdullah Saidol, representing the Minister in Charge of the 2025 Sarawak-level National Day Celebration.
“This event serves as a continuation of the national-level launch of the 2025 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign, officiated by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Dataran Tanjung Emas, Muar, Johor, on July 25.
“A variety of key activities will take place on that day, including the official launching of the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign, the flag-off of the ‘Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang’ (KMJG) convoy, and the ‘Kita MADANI’ Carnival at the Sarawak level.
“The event will also feature PENTARAMA entertainment performances, Rahmah Sales, exhibitions by government departments and agencies, as well as sales booths by the MADANI community around Kuching,” it said.
Besides that, the flag-off of the Sarawak-level KMJG 2025 Convoy will also take place at the Satok Sports Complex, SLPAS Field, heading to its first destination at Kampung Tematu Hall, Batu Kitang, before continuing its journey across Sarawak through five phases, culminating in the Malaysia Day celebration on September 16.
“Every movement and route of the KMJG 2025 Convoy will be updated periodically via the official social media channels of the Sarawak Information Department, with each checkpoint also featuring special informative entertainment programmes in conjunction with the HKHM celebration.
“The public is also encouraged to show their love for the country during this National Month by participating in the ‘1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang’ (1R1JG) initiative, which reflects patriotic spirit and national pride by flying the Jalur Gemilang,” it said.
