KUCHING: Sarawak has lined up 852 infrastructure projects worth RM52.4 billion under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), marking a major scale-up in development across the state.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said 287 projects valued at RM26.5 billion are currently under construction, while another 565 projects worth RM25.8 billion are in the tender preparation stage.
“Of this, 287 projects worth RM26.5 billion are under construction, while 565 projects valued at RM25.8 billion are in the tender preparation stage,” he said.
The scale of the pipeline highlights the state’s push to accelerate infrastructure delivery and strengthen connectivity across regions.
Uggah noted that JKR Sarawak had completed 11,902 projects worth RM27.6 billion under the previous plan, achieving 78 per cent completion with a performance increase of 9.2 per cent.

He said projects currently under construction will be carried forward into the 13MP, ensuring continuity in implementation as the state moves to improve overall delivery performance.
Uggah added that the scale of ongoing and upcoming projects will require stronger coordination and execution to ensure timelines are met and outcomes delivered effectively.
