KUCHING: Sarawak is set to organise a Mega Fair in Singapore this year to promote trade, investment, and tourism.
The event, scheduled to take place from Oct 16 to 19, aims to serve as a platform for government officials, business leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen economic ties and explore new opportunities.
Deputy Premier and Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan chaired the Steering Committee Meeting for the Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 that is going to be held in Singapore.
During the meeting on Thursday, Awang Tengah received a briefing on the preparations from the organising committee, led by chairman of the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office in Singapore (STATOS) Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani.
The primary objectives of the Mega Fair include providing a dynamic platform for government officials, business leaders, and stakeholders from Sarawak, Singapore, and the wider region to network and collaborate.
It also aims to facilitate business matching, foster partnerships, and promote trade, investment, and tourism opportunities.
Additionally, the event seeks to showcase Sarawak’s vast potential while driving sustainable growth through strategic collaborations.
The event will feature seminars, exhibitions, and business matching sessions, further strengthening Sarawak’s global outreach through its close partnership with Singapore.
