BINTULU: Sarawak Petchem, together with the Bintulu Resident Office, have organised the inaugural Bintulu Industrial Safety Engagement Programme today (Apr 29).

Launched by Bintulu Division Deputy Resident Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey, the event marks a key milestone in advancing a culture of safety across Bintulu’s fast-developing industrial sector.

“This inaugural engagement signals the start of a coordinated and sustained effort to uplift the overall safety culture across Bintulu’s growing industrial landscape.

“Sarawak Petchem remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance operational excellence while safeguarding the wellbeing of all stakeholders,” Sarawak Petchem said in a statement issued today.

The programme featured three focused presentations, each aimed at enhancing safety awareness, promoting industry best practices, and encouraging proactive safety management.

It added the topics were carefully selected to address common challenges within the industrial community and to foster a collaborative approach to improving workplace safety standards.

The company also highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue and partnership in ensuring safe working environments, not only for employees and contractors but also for the wider community at the event.
