KUCHING: The Sarawak Scout Foundation presented membership medallions to its members today in a ceremony highlighting its commitment to nurturing the scouting movement across the state.
Chairman Arthur Lee Cheng Chuan emphasised the foundation’s mission to strengthen scouting by promoting discipline, leadership, and community service among youth.
He expressed gratitude to individuals and organisations who have joined the foundation, noting their support ensures the continuation of programmes benefiting scouts in Sarawak.
“I invite more members of the public to join us in helping the scouting movement grow stronger. Through scouting, we can develop responsible and civic-minded citizens for our country,” Lee said in a statement.
He also encouraged existing members to invite friends and consider upgrading their memberships to further support the foundation’s initiatives.
Special recognition was given to Hong Yong Seafood Supplies Sdn Bhd for joining as a Gold Member, a move Lee described as a meaningful demonstration of corporate cooperation.
He expressed hope that more corporations and organisations would follow suit.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of medallions to new members, symbolising their commitment to advancing the spirit of scouting in Sarawak.
