There is no reason Sarawak, an oil and gas (O&G) state, cannot have mega projects related to O&G, said Razaili Gapor (GPS-Beting Maro).
He said Sarawak could carry out more mega O&G projects much like Malaysian Oil Refinery Complex Melaka, Shell Oil Refinery Port Dickson, Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid), Sabah Oil & Gas Terminal Papar and Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park.
“Melaka, Johor and Negeri Sembilan are states which do not produce O&G, aside Sabah, but they have projects related to O&G,” he said.
Razaili also voiced his support for the establishment of Sarawak Coastal Guards, saying: “Sarawak Coastal Guards would be able to assist the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and the marine police.”
