KUCHING: Sarawak’s rich cultural tapestry was on full display at the recent Malaysian Dance Festival 2025, as WOW Talent Management and Gah Rentak Arts & Culture proudly represented the state with two original performances.
Although the troupe did not bring home national accolades, they delivered captivating renditions of ‘Regatta’ and ‘Sayang Tampung Seribu’, dances that celebrated Sarawak’s diverse ethnic heritage.
These performances, crafted as original works, embodied the spirit and identity of the Land of the Hornbill, weaving together the traditions of its many communities.
For WOW Talent Management and Gah Rentak Arts & Culture, the journey itself marked a significant achievement.
The groups expressed pride in the dedication and passion demonstrated by their dancers, who poured heart and soul into every step and movement.
“This is not a failure, but an honourable sacrifice. It is a stepping stone for us to continue championing Sarawak’s arts and culture,” they said in a press statement.
WOW Talent Management extended an invitation to aspiring dancers to be part of their efforts in nurturing the next generation of cultural ambassadors.
