Sarawak Skills to offer fibre optics training

KUCHING: Sarawak Skills will next month offer a fibre optics training programme to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
 
“Sarawak Skills has received numerous requests from the various industry sectors to offer a comprehensive fibre optics training programme in Kuching,” said Hallman Sabri, Executive Director of Sarawak Skills and Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC).

“In this respect, we are pleased to announce that the two-day training programme will be held at Sarawak Skills in Tabuan Jaya on Aug 22-23. For HRD Corp registered employers, the course fee is HRD Corp claimable,” he said.

“This training programme will be an important step forward in developing the necessary technical expertise to support the transformation of Sarawak’s six key economic sectors in line with the Sarawak Post Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030),” said Hallman.
 
“During the two-day programme, the practical sessions will enable participants to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the following areas: Fibre Optic Cable Network Project Pre-installation, Inside Plant (ISP) Installation, Jointing, Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance.

“This programme will boost industry-relevant knowledge and skills for those involved in this industry, including technicians, project engineers and site supervisors.”
 
Registration is ongoing for the upcoming training programme.
