KUCHING: Sarawak stormed to a commanding one-two finish in the men’s 4x100m relay at the Borneo Games Kuching 2025, with their teams clinching both gold and silver at the Sarawak Stadium today.


The host state’s first team, featuring national sprint ace, Jonathan Nyepa, alongside Dylan Leo Saran Stephen, Dillon Chu Pu Young, and Mohamad Nur Rahman Mohamad Zaidi, powered to gold with a winning time of 41.04s.
Sarawak’s second quartet of Kelvin Sze Gee Xhian, Yusry Muhammad Saifullah, Luis Lexsander Jonathan, and Ashven Austin Adrian ensured a clean sweep for the state, taking silver in 41.42s.
Sabah settled for bronze with a time of 42.04s through the efforts of Dexter Bedie, Mark Paladius, Muhammad Ilham Jaafar, and Pengiran Aidil Auf.
The race proved to be one of the most entertaining moments of the athletics programme, with the home crowd roaring in unison and the beat of drums echoing through the stadium as Sarawak’s sprinters delivered a dominant performance.
The emphatic one-two finish highlighted Sarawak’s depth in sprinting talent, with both their experienced campaigners and emerging stars combining to give the host state another golden moment at the Borneo Games.
