KUCHING: Sarawak track and field athlete, Ormillia Octavia Codday Nyadau, carved her own piece of history after being announced as the Sportswoman of the Year 2024 by the Malaysia Sports School (SSM) Sabah.
The prestigious award was presented during the 2024 Excellence Appreciation Ceremony – Malaysia Sports School Sabah, held in a lively atmosphere on 14 November 2024 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
The award recognises Ormillia’s consistent performance in athletics, particularly through her impressive achievements at various national and international competitions.
The Sarawak Sports Corporation and Sarawak State Sports Council extended their highest appreciation and congratulations, describing Ormillia’s success as proof of her unwavering commitment and dedication to bringing pride to Sarawak.
With this remarkable achievement, Ormillia is hoped to continue charting more successes and become an inspirational icon for the new generation of Sarawak athletes.
