KUCHING: Sarawak is slated to host the 2025 Merdeka Asia Pacific Lawn Bowls Championship — scheduled to take place at the Sarawak Lawn Bowls Arena in Petra Jaya from July 15 to 27 this year. Sarawak Lawn Bowls Association (SALBA) secretary, Nuruljumaniza Tuah, stated that the prestigious event is organised by the Sarawak Government in collaboration with the Malaysian Lawn Bowls Federation (MLBF) and SALBA.
“We are expecting intense competition throughout the tournament,” Nuruljumaniza said in an interview with Arena Suara Sarawak.
She mentioned that the championship will feature 30 countries and showcase world-class players in action. “A myriad of world-class players are set to participate, providing a valuable opportunity for our local players to gain priceless experience,” she added.
