KUCHING: Sarawak is positioning itself as a regional leader in sustainable transport with the upcoming Green Mobility Innovation Summit 2025, set to take place on Sept 8 and 9 at the Imperial Hotel, here.
The summit will convene industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across Southeast Asia and beyond to shape the future of green mobility.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–Malaysia–Philippines East Asean Growth Area), and Sarawak Skills, the event serves as a strategic platform for cross-border collaboration on eco-friendly transportation solutions.
This year’s theme, ‘Driving the Future: Talent, Innovation & Sustainability in Green Mobility’, will steer discussions on building a greener transport ecosystem for the region.
“The significance of gathering various experts and delegates in the field of green mobility lies in its potential to nurture talent for sustainable transportation an objective that is not merely a local priority but a shared regional goal under the BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025,” said executive director of Sarawak Skills, Hallman Sabri.
“The summit serves as an essential platform for aligning strategies, building competencies, and fostering regional cooperation in the transition toward a green economy.” he added.
Over 30 prominent speakers and moderators from Asean, the United Kingdom, China, and Australia are expected to participate.
Key discussion topics will include talent development through education and training, innovative technologies, governance, and global collaboration.
