KUCHING: Lien Heng Wushu Association will represent Sarawak at the 2025 National Southern Lion Dance Championship on December 6 in Kuala Lumpur.
Three teams will carry the state’s name at the event organised by the United Association of Wushu Malaysia: Tian Eng Ban Hock Lion Dance Club (Team A), Sheng Huang Dragon & Lion Dance Association Kuching Sarawak, and Tian Eng Ban Hock Lion Dance Club (Team B).
The flag presentation ceremony for the contingent was held this morning at the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) headquarters.
It was officiated by Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, and Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.
Also present were representatives of Senator Datuk Awang Bemee, Johnny Ting, and several invited guests.
Dr Sim expressed hope that the teams would deliver excellent performances and bring pride to Sarawak on the national stage.
