Buu gives his speech.

For the record, the Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office hosted the Best of Salam Taiwan Awards Night to honour Malaysian media professionals who participated in the Salam Taiwan familiarisation trips over the past year and played a key role in promoting Taiwan as a Muslim-friendly travel destination.

The event this time around brought together over 100 media representatives, social media influencers, and celebrities for a memorable iftar celebration at Glasshouse at Seputeh here.

Officiated by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia Deputy Representative James Buu, he extended his appreciation to the media community for their continued support and contribution.

“Malaysia remains one of Taiwan’s most important tourism markets.

“The Muslim community’s specific needs have inspired us to continually enhance the overall quality of our tourism services.

“Through the real-life stories and experiences shared by Malaysian media and influencers, Taiwan’s hospitality and warmth are being seen, felt and celebrated – instilling greater confidence and excitement among Malaysian travellers,” he said in his speech during the event.

Looking ahead, the Taiwan Tourism Administration reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with Malaysia’s travel industry, media and creator communities.

By strengthening the Salam Taiwan brand, the initiative aims to co-create more tailored, Muslim-friendly travel experiences, thus solidifying Taiwan’s position as a top-of-mind destination for Muslim travellers from Malaysia.

Also gracing the event were Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office Director, Abe Chou, and Salam Taiwan ambassador Nabila Razali.
