KUCHING: The brilliant touch of three Sarawak teenage bowlers proved hard to beat as they claimed the title at the SABATI Tenpin Bowling Championship 2025.
The final, held at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa, on Tuesday saw Muhammad Ihsan Fikri Suffian, Muhd Isyraq Iqbal Ramadhan and Muhd Farhan Asgar Jahan, representing the Sarawak Amateur Bowling Association (ABAS), tally 935 pins.
They edged out the Vietnam/Taiwan team, strengthened by Nguyen Phuc Gia Dang (Vietnam) and Cheng Shao-Hua and Liu Szu-Wei (Taiwan), who finished second with 924 pins.
Third place went to team Kaboom, featuring Melvin Gilbert Gimang Anak Tingau, Mohd Uzair Irsyad Noor Azrul and Muhammad Hanif Hasbi Jaya (ABAS), who scored 899 pins.
Also held during the event was the symbolic handover of a donation cheque to the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA), reinforcing SABATI’s commitment to community welfare.
A total of 66 teams competed for the championship, which brought together both local and international players.
