MUKAH: Members of the Mukah Wushu Club triumphantly made Sarawak proud when they emerged as the overall champions in the 4th Legend of Dong Wu Wushu Competition held at the Cyberneon 2025 KSL Esplanade Mall in Klang, Selangor recently.
The team, consisting of secondary and primary school students who are members of Mukah Wushu Club, has collectively secured 32 gold, 19 silver and 15 bronze in the overall medal tally.
Its club chairman, Ho Ing Siong said he was very trilled and proud of their success.
“Before participating in this competition, we underwent a strict training schedule and all participants maintained their discipline during training.
“It is hoped that with this success, the members of the Mukah Wushu Club will instil strong enthusiasm in this sports discipline,” he told Suara Sarawak.
The secondary school participants were students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK Three Rivers) and SMK St Patrick.
Meanwhile, the primary schools participants were from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Chong Boon, SJKC Ek Hua, SJKC Chin Hua, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St Bernard and SK Sungai Kut Tengah.
