KUCHING: Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) is inviting all Sarawakians, aged 18 and above, to participate in a logo and slogan design competition in conjunction with the 60 years of Sarawak’s independence.
The competition will begin on Feb 2 until 19 and the chosen logo will be used as the official logo for the 60th year of Sarawak independence celebration.
“The purpose of the competition is to give the opportunity to Sarawakians to display their creativity and talent.
“The winner will receive the main cash prize of RM5,000 alongside a certificate, while the first runner up will receive RM3,000 alongside a certificate and the third place will receive RM3,000 and a certificate,” UKAS said in a press release yesterday.
It added that five other winners will receive a consolation prize worth RM1,000 alongside a certificate each.
The designers are required to at least provide the details and rational explanation on the logo design and its symbolism alongside the colours that are being used which translates the function of the logo.
