MIRI: The Miri Division Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme opened its doors today (April 24) at the Miri Stadium, running until Sunday (April 26) with a host of exciting activities aimed at bringing the people together in a lively atmosphere.

The soft launch was officiated by State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.

Earlier, he visited exhibition booths involving various government agencies and departments, before touring the Miri Kitchen site, which features local entrepreneurs offering a variety of dishes and food products.

Abu Bakar and his spouse, Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, also tried their hand at preparing traditional dishes such as ikan baung masak kunyit, serabai and cucur bubuk.

The first day of the programme featured the opening of Miri Kitchen & Sales while the main exhibition, service counters and e-contest were held at the Sarawak Pavilion & Services Tent.

In the evening, the event will continue with various interactive activities, including mini games, a colouring contest, a Sarawak food quiz and Sukaneka Rakyat, involving the participation of the local community.

Meanwhile at night, visitors will be treated to the Sarawak Cultural Night, featuring local artistes and cultural performances that reflect the state’s diverse heritage.

The highlight of the programme will be the official launch, to be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, on Saturday (April 25).
