KAPIT: Residents and local entrepreneurs have praised the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ (SKS) programme here, saying it has created business opportunities and provided a platform to promote locally made products to a wider audience.

In interviews with Sarawak Tribune, they said the programme has helped attract more visitors to Kapit while enabling small traders, particularly women entrepreneurs, to showcase their handicrafts, traditional food and other products.

They also expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue to support local businesses and boost the town’s economy.

It is a good platform for us to introduce both our traditional and modern food to visitors. I hope more people from outside Kapit will come, support us and experience what our town has to offer.”

It has created more opportunities, especially for women entrepreneurs, to sell their products and earn an income. More importantly, it provides a platform for local traders to promote their products to visitors from outside Kapit, helping them reach a wider market.”
