SIBU: Sarawak recorded the highest regional score of 0.791 in the National Unity Index (IPNas) 2025, reflecting the state’s strong social cohesion.

National Unity Minister, Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang, said the recently released IPNas report is the third iteration of the study measuring national unity levels.

“By regional breakdown, Sarawak posted the highest unity index. However, when compared by state, Pahang recorded a higher score of 0.817, followed by Melaka (0.816),” he said.

He spoke to reporters after attending the opening of the ‘Gerak Rahmah: Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk Perpaduan Sarawak’ state-level 2026 programme at Dataran Tun Tuanku Bujang here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Aaron said Saturday’s event was a collaboration among various state and federal agencies, alongside active community participation, including ‘Rukun Tetangga’ Areas in the Sibu Division.

He added that it was the fourth edition of the programme, and over 5,000 containers of ’bubur lambuk’ were distributed. – BERNAMA
