KUCHING: Malaysian Muay Thai athlete Rifdean Masdor continued to impress by defeating Indonesia’s Mohamad Redho ‘Rocky’ at ONE Championship, securing his fifth win in six fights along with a generous performance bonus.

The Sarawak-born fighter claimed victory at ONE Friday Fights 138, held at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok last night (Jan 16).

From the opening bell, Rifdean came out aggressively, applying relentless pressure and made sure his opponent had no room to breathe.

He landed a precise spinning elbow to Redho Rocky’s head, leaving the Indonesian visibly dazed. Seizing the opportunity, Rifdean unleashed a series of powerful knees and relentless kicks to finish the fight decisively.

This win further cements Rifdean’s growing reputation on the international stage and brings him closer to securing an official contract with ONE Championship.

Rifdean’s dominant performance earned him a bonus of 350,000 baht (approximately RM45,500).

The 23-year old made his ONE Championship debut on March 22, 2024, with a spectacular 78-second TKO victory over Thailand’s Pichai Lookbanmai, signaling the start of a promising career on the global stage.
