KUCHING: Rising Sarawakian muaythai fighter Texas Jeremy Lo is set to make another major leap in his career when he takes on Morocco’s Soufiane Asffar at the Rajadamnern World Series (RWS) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The highly anticipated 124 lbs bout is scheduled this Saturday (Aug 2) as the second preliminary fight of the evening, taking place at 7pm at the iconic Rajadamnern Stadium.
The fight marks a significant milestone for the 17-year-old, who continues to gain recognition on the international muaythai circuit.
“Right now, it feels great — just rehydrating, eating good, resting up. It really can’t get better than this,” said Texas when contacted by Sarawak Tribune on Friday (Aug 1)
Texas enters the bout with strong momentum following a second-round knockout win in May, when he stunned Moroccan fighter Hachim with a perfectly timed elbow during the Rajadamnern Knockout event.
The performance caught the attention of fans and promoters, earning him a fast track into the spotlight of the RWS arena.
Representing Sarawak and Malaysia, Texas has been training out of Powerhouse Phuket in Thailand, while maintaining close ties with the local combat sports community.
Known for his explosive striking and calm composure in the ring, Texas is widely regarded as one of the country’s most promising young fighters on the global muaythai stage.
