SARATOK: Residents here can now have better access to Islamic administrative services thanks to the opening of the Saratok sub-district administration office located at the al-Muhtadin Mosque.
The satellite office offers eight essential services, including mosque and surau management, marriage, divorce and reconciliation applications, counselling, and the collection of tithe, infak, and fidyah.
Other services include conversion to Islam, dakwah (accreditation for religious teaching), matters related to Basic Fardhu Ain classes, and marriage card applications.
The office, under the Betong Division Islamic Religious Office, aims to ease administrative processes for the local community.
Previously, residents in the area here had to travel to Betong to obtain such services.
However, the listed services are currently for preliminary reference and may still be undergoing coordination at the departmental and agency level.
Meanwhile, the office operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm.
For administrative matters, the public is advised to visit during the stated operating hours or contact Ismail at 014-5996695 or Faez Atif at 011-25025663.
