KUCHING: Fifteen residents classified as ‘asnaf’ received assistance during the Satok Ramadan Tour and Ihsan Ramadan Programme, held at Surau Darul Uyuun, Kampung No.3, on Saturday.
The programme, organized by the Satok PBB Religious Bureau, was officiated by Deputy Minister for Utility (Sarawak Energy Bhd and PETROS) Datuk Ibrahim Baki.
Held in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the initiative continues the annual effort to support the local community, particularly those in need.
During the event, Ibrahim, who is also Satok state assemblyman, presented contributions to the 15 ‘asnaf’ to help ease their preparations for Ramadan.
He emphasised that charitable giving during Ramadan not only aids the less fortunate but also strengthens ties between leaders and grassroots communities.
In the same event, Ibrahim also handed over contributions to Pemanca Rosli Sahari on behalf of the Surau Darul Uyuun Committee, to support the implementation of the surau’s programmes throughout the month.
