KUCHING: SCA Colt’s were crowned champions of the Borneo Invitational Cricket Club Cup (BICCC) 2026 after defeating Sarawak Gladiators Squad in a dramatic Super Over to cap a thrilling final at the Borneo Cricket Ground on Sunday (July 26).
Locked level at the end of regulation play, the title decider required a Super Over before SCA Colt’s finally defeated their rivals to lift the trophy and conclude six days of competitive cricket.
The tournament, held from July 20 to 26, also served as an important build-up for the upcoming Malaysia Games (SUKMA), giving players and officials valuable match exposure ahead of the biennial competition.
Sarawak Cricket Association (SCA) described the week-long event as an important platform for players to fine-tune their tactical execution, improve match fitness and develop the composure needed in pressure situations.
“The tournament was an invaluable proving ground for our squads as we built momentum toward SUKMA.
“Exhibiting such composure during a high-stakes Super Over finish shows that our athletes are developing the grit and match awareness required for top-level competition,” SCA said.
SCA also expressed appreciation to participating teams, match officials, ground staff, volunteers and supporters for contributing to the successful staging of the tournament.
