KUCHING: St Thomas’ Secondary School will once again bring its school grounds to life with the return of its annual HEM Day on Saturday.
It will be held at the James Wong Kim Min Hall and its adjacent open hall from 8 am to 12 pm.
Organised as part of the school’s student development programme, HEM Day (Hari Hal Ehwal Murid), aims to provide students with valuable exposure to entrepreneurial skills, leadership and co-curricular engagement beyond the classroom.
“A staple event in the school calendar, the programme will see students and teachers teaming up to manage various interactive and business-themed stalls.
“Notably, the Foods and Drinks Stall will be operated by the Prefectorial Board of St Thomas’, offering a wide selection of refreshments.
“Adding a creative and thrilling edge to the event is the much-anticipated ‘Haunted House’, which will be set up beneath the school hall — always a crowd favourite among thrill-seeking students and visitors,” the school said in its statement.
Animal lovers can look forward to the Cat Exhibit, showcasing a variety of feline breeds such as the British Shorthair, Maine Coon, Bengal, and local cats.
The school invites students, parents, teachers, and members of the public to join in the day of fun, learning and community spirit.
