KUCHING: Scoot has announced a collaboration with Sony Pictures’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, with two themed aircraft to be used across selected routes until September 13, 2026.

The collaboration involves an Airbus A321neo and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, giving customers a movie-themed experience across short, medium and long-haul flights.

The themed aircraft will operate their inaugural flights to Tokyo (Haneda), Japan on June 30, 2026, using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and to Chiang Mai, Thailand on July 1, 2026, using the Airbus A321neo.

After that, the two aircraft will be rostered on flights to selected cities in Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.

Scoot said the themed aircraft will also serve other routes operated by the same aircraft types as part of regular airline operations.

The aircraft will be fitted with decals and special headrest covers, while music from Sony Pictures’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will also be featured on board.

Customers can also receive exclusive merchandise, including a flight tag or foldable eco bag as a gift with purchase on board, subject to terms and conditions.

The themed journey will begin at the check-in counters at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, where Spider-Man installations will be set up.

Scoot’s Chief Commercial Officer, Calvin Chan, said the collaboration was aimed at giving customers a more immersive and memorable travel experience.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Sony Pictures’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, bringing our customers a truly immersive and memorable travel experience.

“Beyond our continual efforts to deliver quality service and value, this collaboration demonstrates Scoot’s commitment to constantly push boundaries and look for innovative ways to delight our customers,” he said.

The themed flights are labelled on Scoot’s website, mobile app and WeChat Mini Programme for booking.

Flight schedules of the themed aircraft will be published on Scoot’s website and are subject to government and regulatory approvals or changes.
