KUCHING: The Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) will host the Kuching auditions for INNOVATHON Season 3, the award-winning national reality TV talent search.
INNOVATHON, recently honoured with the ContentAsia Award 2024, is a national platform that seeks out Malaysia’s most creative and forward-thinking innovators.
The show offers participants the opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking ideas and receive development support, as well as national exposure.
The Kuching leg of the auditions, supported by SDEC, marks a major opportunity for Sarawak’s aspiring innovators to take the national stage.
It is also aligned with SDEC’s flagship programme, the Sarawak Digital and Innovation Ecosystem (Sarawak Digital), which aims to nurture grassroots innovation, drive local talent development, and accelerate tech breakthroughs across the region.
SDEC chief executive officer Datuk Ir Ts Sudarnoto Osman said the Sarawak Digital programme reflects “our deep commitment to transforming Sarawak into a hub for innovation, where local talents pioneer real-world solutions.”
He added: “Hosting INNOVATHON at Makeramai Makerspace serves as a catalyst to empower our brightest minds and elevate them to national recognition.
“We are excited to witness what these brilliant Sarawakian innovators will bring to the table, and we believe many are ready to leave a strong impact on Malaysia’s innovation landscape.”
Aspiring participants are encouraged to act quickly to seize this opportunity.
To register, participants must first scan the QR code provided to access the official online registration form.
All required fields must be filled in accurately and honestly.
Once completed, participants should save and print a copy of the registration form, which must be brought to the physical audition.
The auditions will take place from 9am to 3pm on June 10 and 11, at Makeramai Makerspace, Plaza Merdeka, Kuching.
Participants are required to present their innovation ideas and must bring along the printed registration form, a copy of their identity card (IC), and any other relevant supporting documents for verification.
