PADAWAN: A search and rescue (SAR) operation has been launched to locate a 57-year-old woman who went missing while heading to her farm in Kampung Singai-Simpok yesterday (Dec 6).
The victim, identified as Aron Rajak, was last seen at around 12.30 pm leaving her home dressed in a white singlet and sarong.
Her family reported her missing when she did not return, saying she also has a history of mental health issues.
Firefighters from Siburan station were deployed to the scene following a distress call at 9.16 pm.
Rescuers, together with police, Simpok auxiliary firefighters and several villagers, searched a two-kilometre radius covering the victim’s farm and neighbouring plots in an effort to track her movements.
However, the search yielded no clues last night.
At the time of writing, the operation resumed this morning and Aron has yet to be located.
