KUCHING: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas) and Endeavor Malaysia are inviting applications for SCALE Sarawak Cohort 2, a high-impact initiative designed to accelerate the growth of Sarawakian entrepreneurs through strategic mentorship and business support.

The six-month programme offers selected startups personalised mentorship, hands-on workshops, and exclusive networking opportunities to help them scale their businesses.

By leveraging Endeavor’s global network of industry experts, investors, and successful founders, the initiative aims to strengthen Sarawak’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and position the state as a rising force in the regional digital economy.

Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, and chairman of Tegas, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, said the initiative aligns with Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030, reinforcing the state’s vision for a thriving and innovative ecosystem.

“SCALE Sarawak is a testament to Tegas’ commitment to nurturing high-potential startups and positioning Sarawak as a key player in the digital economy.

“Through this partnership with Endeavor Malaysia, we are equipping entrepreneurs with the essential resources and networks they need to succeed.

“By fostering collaboration and providing strategic support, we aim to accelerate the growth of Sarawak’s startup landscape and drive sustainable economic impact,” he said.

The inaugural programme held last year was deemed a success.

Meanwhile, Endeavor Malaysia managing director Shan Li Tay, emphasised the transformative power of high-impact entrepreneurs in driving economic growth and inspiring future generations.

“We’re incredibly honoured that Tegas has once again entrusted us to run SCALE Sarawak, further strengthening our commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs.

“By equipping them with the right resources, mentorship, and connections, we’re not only accelerating their success but also laying the foundation for a thriving startup ecosystem,” she said.

The 2025 cohort will feature six high-impact Sarawakian startups, selected based on revenue, growth potential, intellectual property ownership, and commitment to technology-driven solutions.

The programme will officially commence on May 15-16 at the Tegas Digital Village, concluding with a Graduation Day and Business Review Panel in October.

To be eligible, startups must be registered businesses with at least one Sarawakian co-founder and a minimum annual revenue of RM 500,000.

Applications are now open, and interested entrepreneurs can apply via bit.ly/SCALEsarawak2025.
