Section of Jalan Tun Jugah closed for construction

KUCHING: A partial section of Jalan Tun Jugah, in front of Emporium Kuching and Premier 101 Food Centre, is closed temporarily until February 28.

According to Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, the closure is necessary to facilitate construction and road widening works.

“The closure will be in effect 24 hours daily for the entire 24-day period.

“Road users are urged to exercise caution while driving in the affected area and to adhere to traffic management measures, road warning signs, and speed limits to ensure safety,” it said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page today (Feb 5).

The company has assured the public that any changes to the schedule will be communicated accordingly.

“Road users are advised to plan their journeys accordingly,” it said.
