KUCHING: The 26th edition of the SEDC Chairman’s Golf Trophy, held on Saturday concluded on a high note at the picturesque Damai Golf and Country Club.
In a statement ,SEDC said the event attracted more than 100 participants, including government officials, corporate leaders, and other distinguished guests.
The tournament featured both the Invited Guest and Open Categories, cementing its status as one of the most anticipated events on Sarawak’s corporate and sports calendar.
SEDC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Datuk Husain attended the event and emphasised that the tournament was about more than just the competition.
“The event itself is a celebration of our shared values of sportsmanship and perseverance, bringing together SEDC’s extended family, partners, and supporters as one community,” he said.
The venue, Damai Golf and Country Club, provided an exceptional setting for the tournament, with its 18-hole Arnold Palmer-designed championship course set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Santubong.

The course, known for its strategic layout and panoramic coastal views, posed a challenge for participants. Among the standout features was the par-3 14th hole, which offered spectacular vistas of the South China Sea.
The event also saw strong support from the corporate sector, with numerous prominent organisations stepping up as sponsors. Platinum sponsors included Affin Bank, ICE Petroleum, Ibraco Berhad, SEDC Resources Sdn Bhd, and Gentari.
Gold sponsors were Rosewood Station Pty Ltd, Sarawak Petchem, MASWings, and UDA Holdings Berhad, while silver sponsors included Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, Grand Margherita and Riverside Majestic Hotel, Damai Lagoon, SEDC Nutreco, Tanahmas Travel, and Hemisphere Corporation.
