KUCHING: The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) has set up six mini-sized SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 sites to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the state.

SEDC general manager Datuk Abdul Hadi Datuk Abdul Kadir confirmed that the six selected locations span three divisions in Sarawak: Kuching, Sri Aman and Sibu.

Kuching, as the main location, has been given priority with four designated sites, namely the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Kuching, SEDC Tower Kuching, Medan Niaga BGS (Boyan), and Medan Niaga BGS (Gersik).

Meanwhile, the remaining two SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 locations are at the Sri Aman trading centre and UTC Sibu.

He stated that these six bazaar locations have benefitted 49 local entrepreneurs across the state.

“With strong support from these 49 local entrepreneurs, the bazaar is not only a trading space but also serves as a platform to strengthen the community and boost the local economy.

“It also provides an opportunity for more Sarawakians to enjoy a variety of delicious and high-quality iftar meals.”

Abdul Hadi officiated the launch of the SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 on the first floor of UTC Kuching yesterday, marking one of the six SEDC Ramadan bazaars opened across Sarawak.

The SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 at UTC Kuching features around 10 entrepreneurs running their businesses throughout the fasting month.

It was revealed that the SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 commenced on Feb 27 and will conclude on March 27.

Regarding the establishment of this bazaar, Abdul Hadi noted that it reflects SEDC’s commitment to economic development and the wellbeing of the people.

He added that this initiative serves as a strategic platform to support and guide Sarawak’s small and medium entrepreneurs in their growth—not just during Ramadan but in the future as well.

The public are encouraged to visit the SEDC Ramadan Bazaar 2025 sites to enhance the festive atmosphere and support local businesses.
