KUCHING: The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is strengthening its ties with local authorities and the media, including through a courtesy visit to Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak office today.
Led by SEDC Corporate Communications Department head Nur Khairanie Nasya Jasmine, along with two communications officers, Samuel James, Jesny Miduk, and photographer Sufyan Sulaiman, the delegation arrived at the office approximately around 11.40 am to engage with the publication’s team.
Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir and Suara Sarawak executive editor Rohana Wahed.
According to Nur Khairanie, the visit aimed to enhance collaboration between SEDC and media practitioners in disseminating information and addressing current issues.

“Without the media, SEDC’s efforts and achievements would remain within a limited circle, making it difficult to share important information with the public.
“SEDC has previously engaged with media representatives during the Chinese New Year celebrations, and this visit is essential to strengthening cooperation between the media and SEDC,” she said.
As a token of appreciation, SEDC also presented festive cookies in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
The delegation spent approximately 20 minutes at the venue before departing around 12.00 pm.
