KUCHING: Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin attended a state banquet in conjunction with their official visit at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex on Monday (Nov 6).

Their Highnesses were greeted on arrival by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.
At the event, they were also entertained by various performances from local artistes and cultural dances from different ethnic groups.
Also in attendance were the Crown Prince of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah; Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian; DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar as well as state ministers and deputy ministers.

Also present were State Secretary Datuk Amar Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy State Secretary (Economic and Development Planning) Datuk Dr Abdullah Zaidel, Deputy State Secretary (Operations) Datuk Hii Chang Kee and Deputy State Secretary (Administrations) Datuk Buckland Bangik.
Earlier, the royal couple visited the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation Sarawak branch, Fort Margherita and the Juma’ani Pavilion at Vista Tunku.
