MIRI: A senior citizen sustained head and arm injuries after he was believed to have been hit by a vehicle at while crossing the road along Jalan Miri-Pujut here last Sunday.
The victim, identified as Ajang Jok was found lying unconscious by the roadside by passers-by around 6.00pm.
It was understood that the vehicle that hit the 72-year-old was heading to Pujut from the city centre and the driver had fled the scene.
The victim was later sent to Miri Hospital for treatment.
Traffic policemen were also at the scene to investigate the incident and control traffic flow along the road.
